New York City is New York City. The genesis & epicenter of dance music sounds. The caverns of undiscovered discs and historical archives that document the largest significant bulk of modern popular music on vinyl on earth is enough to excite and humble you deeply in contemplation.

Where does one start in the face of such deep and dense contemplations? You start where you are. So in this case I visited 3 record stores in reasonably close proximity to the midtown hotel in which I stayed: Rough Trade Records, Sweet Peanut records and 54 vintage vinyl. Each offering their own unique presentation and selections. The digging was a worthy and enjoyable excursion that inspired me to return to the city as soon as allowable to expand the journey and dig deeper into the archives.
